The National Gallery is collaborating with the London Film School on 'Transcriptions: LFS Shorts', an innovative new project which involves 2nd term students producing short 3-4 minute films inspired by the Gallery's collection as part of their course.

In this film it is the actual lead up to the event and the pose of the people at the table that I wanted to recreate.
I wanted to represent an occurrence which would make people sitting at the table strike the same pose as that in the painting; to show the build up of a surprising moment, using low lighting to evoke the darkness of the paintings. Ludovico Taliani
