From the Film Maker...

Steenwyck’s painting is about life and death, and our vain obsession with collecting possessions - a habit seen since ancient times when pharaohs were buried with their riches. This reminded me of how fragile humans really are and how worthless we can be.

This short film tells a story about a serial killer who kills people because he thinks he is doing them a favour by taking them out of their misery. He chooses a girl that is very pretty, and sensual. The motives aren’t clear but he’s sadistic enough to stab her first than strangle her in front of her mirror so she can watch her beauty disappear.
