Forgiven

by Jess Peckham, 2006

From the Film Maker...

The theme of forgiveness was very powerful to me. It drew me in because I believe that time has shown that it is we who should be forgiving the church and not the other way around.

The image of Jesus standing tall and mighty as the woman at his feet kneels in a cowardly manner, begging for forgiveness, was a striking image for me and made me very angry when I saw it. The film I directed is basically my reaction.
