From the Film Maker...

Black is, for me, the main colour of this painting. If the light's taken away, the 'demons' haunting the character in the background will overcome him. My film is about a man trying to do whatever he can to not let the light in his life go out. I represented the 'devils' in the background of the painting with sounds and memories that my character can't get rid of.

Goya's style is direct, powerful and aggressive. I think a film should have the same characteristics: it should strike you and create a certain feeling. In this case it's fear. My film is about obsession, the inability to let things go and the fear of losing control.
