A Handful of Love

by David Welch

Contains scene of a mild sexual nature.

From the Film Maker...

I was first drawn to the striking and ambiguous nature of the imagery. The figures in the painting appear static and posed. In the exterior section of my film, the main character makes stylised poses within static frames. The third to last shot echoes the painting directly.

The painting depicts the myth of the decline of man from enlightenment and purity to self-destruction. It is about the base instincts in all of us and my film is a humorous take on this theme and our guilty participation.
