From the Film Maker...

The painting chronicles Venus giving her only mortal son, Aeneus, to Time to be taken to earth. Although some say Time is actually returning Aeneas to Venus. I was attracted to the painting for its dynamism and the diversity of its characters.

My animation is heavily influenced by Japanese anime, using common elements from western animation too. While western animation is mostly viewed as a vehicle for comedy and exploring light-hearted matters, with this piece I tried to explore emotion and challenge the general perception of animation today.
