Painting of the Month

Fragonard, 'Psyche showing her Sisters her Gifts from Cupid', 1753

Psyche is in love with a mystery man, who has given her wonderful presents. So what if he only visits her at night, and won't let her see his face? Her sisters, though, are jealous at all the attention Psyche is receiving, and decide to plant seeds of doubt about this lover in Psyche's mind.  Who will she trust, and what will she do?
