Paolo da San Leocadio

Paulo da San Leocadio was Italian by birth; (from San Leocadio, near Reggio d'Emilia). His real name was Paulo de Regio. From 1472 onwards he is documented as working in Valencia (Spain) and its vicinity. His mature style shows a mixture of contemporary North Italian influences with an increasingly Hispano-Flemish manner. He painted frescoes and organ doors for Valencia cathedral, and a retable and other altarpieces in Gandía.
