Master of the Blessed Clare

active mid-14th century
This painter was called The Master of the Blessed Clare by the scholar Zeri after the painting 'The Vision of the Blessed Clare' now in the Collection. It came from Rimini and is by a local Riminese painter. 'The Adoration of the Magi' in Florida (Lowe Art Museum, Coral Gables) is part of the same altarpiece.
