Jan van Os
1744 - 1808
Jan van Os was born in Middelharnis. He was taught by Aert Schouman in The Hague, and recorded in the painters' confraternity in 1773. He spent the rest of his life in The Hague. Van Os painted mainly fruit and flower pieces, in the tradition of van Huysum, and also a few seascapes.
