Giacomo Ceruti

Ceruti was born in Milan and was active in Brescia, Venice, Padua and Piacenza. He was a prolific portrait painter and also painted
genre
pictures of peasants and vagabonds (pitocchi), hence his nickname 'Il Pitochetto'.
