Francesco Botticini

about 1446 - 1497
Documents refer to him as Francesco di Giovanni, but he was also called Botticini. His only documented work as a painter is a tabernacle in Empoli commissioned in 1484. He imitated the prominent painters of his day, and was also a craftsman.
