Cornelis Bega

Cornelis Pietersz. Bega was born in Haarlem and is said to have been a pupil of Adriaen van Ostade.
In 1653 he travelled briefly in Germany and Switzerland. Most of his paintings are peasant scenes. He also made etchings of similar subjects.
