Bernardino Lanino
about 1512; died 1583
Lanino was a member of a Vercelli family of painters. He is recorded as having been apprenticed in 1528. A number of his pictures survive in Lombardy. A contemporary writer links him with the artist Gaudenzio Ferrari, who was perhaps his teacher. Lanino continues the Leonardo tradition as passed on by Luini.
