1460 - probably 1516
He was baptised Bernardino Cristofano di Nicholo d'Antonio di Pietro da Fonghaia; Fungaia is near Siena. He is mentioned as a pupil of Benvenuto di Giovanni in 1482. Various paintings are currently ascribed to Fungai, who appears to have been eclectic in style.
