Benedetto Bonfigli

active 1445; died 1496

In 1450 Bonfigli worked in the Vatican; in 1454 he contracted to paint the frescoes in the town hall in Perugia, which are the basis for comparisons of his style. He was much influenced by Benozzo Gozzoli and appears hardly to have adapted to contemporary developments in Perugia associated with Perugino.
