I don't want to square up the drawings and do a big drawing, and then come and square up the painting because I would fall asleep half-way through that through tedium. Or another way of putting it... I can't do it! I just don't have the kind of skill to do that, so one is trying to - in some curious way - project that which you feel absolutely viscerally and passionately.

What methods might you use? A brilliant photographer might take a photograph, a film maker might make a wonderful film. I don't think so. For me the only way to do this is through paint.
