Over
150 Year 8 students from John Kelly Girls' Technology
College worked with Jacqueline Wilson. She focused
on Renoir's 'At the Theatre' during her masterclasses.
In small groups the students discussed the main
character in the painting. Jacqueline encouraged
them to think about who the young girl might be,
what she was doing and what might happen next. Using
ideas generated by these creative enquiries the
students wrote their own narratives.
