Following the retirement of Thomas Agnew senior in 1861, his Property (including pictures, drawings, sculpture, porcelain, glass, furniture and objects of art) was sold to pay out his share of the firm's capital. This volume contains the Christies, Manson & Woods sales catalogues covering:
1) 10 days of sales (28 Oct-8 Nov 1861) at the Royal Exchange Rooms, Manchester
2) 2 days of sales (4-5 Dec 1861) at the Liverpool and London Chambers, Exchange, Liverpool
Each page of the catalogue is inserted into the volume, with corresponding page(s) handwritten record of each catalogue number, the amount each item was sold for, and the buyer. Please note: the spine of this volume is very fragile.
