Title

Letter from Thomas Agnew to his aunt

Date 4 Mar 1818
Description

The original letter from Thomas Agnew to Mrs McBride, his aunt, who resided in Hull. He apologises for not replying to his cousin's letter sooner, and updates her on his situation and business with Vittore Zanetti since his apprenticeship. Reference is made to a disagreement over the price of a certain part of stock, and that the part of the business he is most focused on (the carving and gilding) can be found under "Messrs. Zanetti, Bolongaro and Agnew the then intended firm". He concludes by writing of his mother and step-father's situation for the last 12 years.

Transcript copies of this letter can be found at NGA27/23/3/10.
