Description

A letter from George William Agnew to Charles Morland Agnew (29 Feb 1924) discussing Colin's loss of £30,000 of capital and the overly ambitious purchases in 1920. The misfortune of Lockett Agnew's death, Morland retirement, and the large debts owing are a source of strain for the firm. He thanks Morland for investing money, charging no interest, and guaranteeing the Bank overdraft. Finally he discusses the need to seek out clients, the state of trade in England and Europe, and frustration with Charles Romer William's income in compared to that earned by Colin and Gerald Agnew.
