Description

Two photocopies of a handwritten memoir written by Madeline Knox, artist. Within her memoir she discusses her adoption of two boys (Colin and Julian) in 1937, her marriage to Arthur Clifton, the trial of Oscar Wilde, and the behaviour of Arthur's first wife Majorie during the aforesaid trial. The date range discussed is 1932-1940s.

Names in the text are, in order of appearance: Arthur Clifton, Kitty and Henry [Souttar], Elizabeth, Bertie Powys, Vincent Rowe, Colin, Julian, Edith, William Renwick, Majorie, Oscar Wilde and his wife.
