The letter discussed the evaluation of paintings by James Stark and [ ] Crome by photograph, the proposed borrowing of drawings by J.M.W. Turner for exhibition by the firm of Agnew's, with the assistance of Joseph Duveen and Agnew's work with Ernest Duveen to acquire English portraits.
