Claiming that 'Venus with Mercury and Cupid' by Correggio in the National Gallery is not genuine. Burton states that he owns the original, and asks for it to be examined by the National Gallery. W.G. Burton is the nephew of the late Frederic Burton, former Director of the National Gallery.
