Administrative history

Material contained within NG67 was collected for example from external sources and/or created by Gallery staff and originally placed in History Files arranged by year by Library staff. At an unknown date all photographic images were removed from the History Files, and 'Visual File: Portraits' was created as a repository for images of persons associated with the Gallery in some way. Upon listing this series was given the reference NG67, but the title 'Visual File: Portraits' was retained.

Other images removed from the History Files became part of Visual Files 1-4 or NG30.
