Description
Explains that 'students admitted to copy in this Gallery are supposed to have attained sufficient skill in oil or watercolour painting to justify the supposition that they will derive advantage from such admission.' On this basis therefore, Mr R. Collier can not yet be granted admission as his work appears to be that of a beginner. If Mr Collier could send a careful study in oil or watercolour (a copy of a painting rather than original work would suffice) his application could be considered again.
