Letter to J.W. Thompson
|Date||4 Mar 1880|
If Miss E. Thompson would explain her complaint concerning officials at the Gallery in writing Eastlake will make enquiries into the matter. Thompson appears to have entered the galleries on a Thursday, when they are closed to the public and used only by copyists, if this is the case then the curator was justified in not allowing her to remain in the room.
