Enclosing a letter sent from the Trustees and Director of the National Gallery to H.M. Office of Works, and their reply, the letters concern the measure that need to be put in place for the protection of the building. He also adds that an explanation of the railings referred to which were provided as a consequence of an accident where a boy fell and broke his leg and states the wire fences added to the ground floor passageway are inadequate for purpose.
