Description
A view taken from the SE part of the Dome. On the NW corner of the Dome is Francesco Francia's Altarpiece (NG179). In Room VIII (37) is Raphael's Ansidei Madonna (NG1171) and 'The Coronation of the Virgin' attributed to Agnolo Gaddi (NG568). There is no relief in the lunette. The north wall of Room IV (38) is hung with Italian pictures, including Matteo di Giovanni's 'The Assumption of the Virgin' (NG1155) and Giovanni del Ponte's Triptych (NG580).
