Correspondence with Messrs Parker, Garrett & Co and Miss Beatrice Beddington re the bequest of Miss Maud Beddington of four pictures by Sir Edward Burne-Jones ('A Female Figure'; 'Vespertina Quies'; 'Study for the The Beggar Maid'; 'Orpheus and Eurydice'), 'Sunset, the Lybian Desert' by Sir William Richmond and various books and arrangements for their transfer to the Gallery for inspection. Also correspondence re Miss Beatrice Beddington's gift of three Burne-Jones' drawings (in two frames), 1940 and re transfer of the drawings and pictures to the Tate, 1954.
