Correspondence with Messrs Beachcroft & Co, solicitors to the executors of the will of Mrs H.F. Medlicott re her bequest of two pictures by Calvert and Palmer and the Gallery's acceptance of the works for display at the Tate, 1949-1950. Also letters to Mrs Medlicott from Sir Charles Holmes [prev Director of NG] and Charles Aitken [then Director of National Gallery of British Art, Millbank] in 1923 and 1925 re the likelihood of Gallery accepting a bequest of the Calvert and Palmer although they could not commit a future board to such a decision, and correspondence between Clark and Mrs Medlicott in 1939 re photographing two of her pictures, one oil and one watercolour, by Palmer
