Raphael: From Urbino to Rome: Press ticket update

The National Gallery press office would like to thank the Press for its support of the Raphael exhibition which has received critical acclaim and attracted huge crowds since it opened in October.

The exhibition closes on 16 January 2005 and the Gallery is anticipating that in the final two weeks the show will be extremely busy. If you are interested in visiting we would advise you to come before January 2. Up until then you may request a press ticket to attend at any time during opening hours on your requested date.

From January 3, any members of the press wishing to attend may request a complimentary ticket but the Gallery will no longer offer priority access and queues are likely.

This decision has been taken in order to avoid overcrowding for the public.

Please note that all tickets from January 3 will also be controlled by timed entrance.

The Gallery is open daily from 10am-6pm, Wednesdays until 9pm. The Gallery will extend its opening hours to 9pm on the last three days of the exhibition - 14,15 and 16 January.

If you would like to arrange a complimentary ticket then please call the press office on 0207 747 2865 or 0207 747 2532.

Thank you for your co-operation.
