How you can help
We care for this world-class collection on behalf of the nation, for today’s public and for future generations.
We need your help to:
- Preserve the nation’s paintings through expert conservation and scientific research, and also to care for the building and maintain the security of the collection
A gift of £250 will enable one painting to be examined by an expert conservator
- Ensure that visitors see the paintings at their very best: in a good light, appropriately framed and in attractive surroundings
£100 will enable 2,500 people to collect a free floorplan. Over four million people visit the Gallery every year
- Provide free tours and make the Gallery more accessible for all ages and for those with disabilities
£50 will enable a school to visit, or pay for a guided tour for Gallery visitors
- Undertake academic research and publish new discoveries
- Acquire exceptional paintings which enhance the nation’s collection of Western art
All gifts go towards the upkeep of the Gallery and the paintings.
