We care for this world-class collection on behalf of the nation, for today’s public and for future generations.

We need your help to:

Preserve the nation’s paintings through expert conservation and scientific research, and also to care for the building and maintain the security of the collection
A gift of £250 will enable one painting to be examined by an expert conservator
Ensure that visitors see the paintings at their very best: in a good light, appropriately framed and in attractive surroundings
£100 will enable 2,500 people to collect a free floorplan. Over four million people visit the Gallery every year
Provide free tours and make the Gallery more accessible for all ages and for those with disabilities
£50 will enable a school to visit, or pay for a guided tour for Gallery visitors
Undertake academic research and publish new discoveries
Acquire exceptional paintings which enhance the nation’s collection of Western art

All gifts go towards the upkeep of the Gallery and the paintings.
